The RISE of up to 1MW rack densities for AI data centers

Next-generation AI servers are pushing data center power densities toward the deployment of up to a 1MW rack, which is at a scale that redefines facility design. This talk presents the RISE of a project using server emulators to mimic future systems, enabling testing and validation before hardware arrives. The focus is building power and cooling infrastructure capable of sustaining up to 1MW per rack, from advanced liquid cooling to heat reuse strategies. The objective of an initiative at RISE is to build a demonstration that tackles the challenges of delivering such high power and removing heat efficiently, while minimizing energy losses.

High Performance Polymers in Secondary Fluid Network applications

The power consumption of the AI generation of chips now requires use of direct liquid cooling to cold plates.
The DLC closed loop in the white space, using usually presently MPG25% must be designed to supply enough coolant for the row and individual rack densities.
However development of these chips is ongoing and power consumption will only increase. So how do we design a physical infrastructure
to cope with these forthcoming designs for the next 4-6 years?
The piping for the DLC is mission critical to the performance of the AI chip the design of the piping layout must account for redundancy to ensure complete security and peace-of-mind for the end clients.

Fiber-Enhanced GNSS Distribution: Achieving Precision, Reliability, and Scalability

This presentation highlights the challenges and solutions found during the implementation of a timing application in a data centre environment. The focus is on the reception and transport of the GNSS signals to the timing receiver. To bridge the distance between the antenna and the timing receiver, the well-known transmission of satellite signals over optical fibre commonly called RF over Fibre can be used. This technology allows longer distances between the antenna and the timing receiver with virtually no loss of signal quality.

Deploying water mist in the dynamic and fast growing data center industry: an outlook from liquid cooling to li-ion batteries

The data center landscape is evolving faster than ever, while fire protection standards struggle to keep pace. New layouts, liquid cooling, and lithium-ion batteries—combined with rising power densities from 5kW to over 150kW per rack—are reshaping risk scenarios. Traditional sprinklers can no longer meet the demands of next-generation infrastructure. This presentation explores how low-pressure water mist can address these challenges, sharing project insights and design strategies for resilient, scalable protection.
