Compute Nordic Ltd, a Norway-based data center developer and operator, has received formal approval of construction permits, and completed execution of power agreements, to develop 212 MW of IT compute capacity for the first phase of its AI Training and Inference Campus in Mikkeli, Finland.
In a LinkedIn post Compute Nordic said that the Mikkeli campus includes the construction of two single story buildings, each containing eight data halls. The data halls will support rack densities of more than 240kw per rack with an estimated PUE of below 1.15. The design includes dual loop cooling for Direct Liquid Cooling and Rear Door Heat Exchangers.
The Mikkeli AI Campus now moves into the execution phase. The approved renderings show the structures authorized for construction and reflect the project’s readiness to proceed as the new year begins.
