Yet another new data center development in Finland. A substantial land parcel in Isojoki, western Finland, was sold by the local municipality.
Finnish media mentioned that the Isojoki municipal government has agreed to sell a 180-hectare plot of land near the Pettenkangas industrial area for around €10 million. The site is allocated for a large-scale data center complex project, with construction probably starting in September 2026.
The project is lead by Isojoki Data Center Oy, with backing from a Nordic real estate development group. The firm hasn't disclosed any details yet, such as total capacity, design specifications, or the scale of the operations.
Local officials have stated the land transaction will mark a major step towards attracting digital infrastructure investment to the area. When completed, the Isojoki data center is said to be one of the largest digital infrastructure development projects in the region.
