Finnish data center project development company Polarnode is planning data center project in the Finnish cities Pori, Nokia, Lappeenranta and Heinola.

Pori
The planned size of the data center project in Pori is over 100 MW, and it would be located on a 26-hectare industrial plot. According to the planned agreement, the City of Pori would reserve the area for Polarnode for project development. The City of Pori is scheduled to discuss the reservation agreement at the next city council meeting.
Lappeenranta
The planned size of the data center project in Lappeenranta is over 150 MW, and it will be built on a 33-hectare industrial site. The building complex, which will be built in phases, represents an investment in the billions of euros. Polarnode and the City of Lappeenranta have agreed on a cooperation agreement, during which Polarnode aims to develop the data center project located in the Pajarila industrial area to construction readiness by the end of 2025.
Heinola
The planned size of the data center project in Heinola would be approximately 40 MW, and it would be located on an industrial plot of approximately 11 hectares. In the northern part of Vierumäki Business Park. The City of Heinola priced and tendered the area in the spring – based on this process, the City of Heinola decided to start preparing for cooperation with Polarnode. During the possible reservation period, the project will be prepared for a later investment decision. The goal is to have the project ready for construction in early 2026.
Nokia
The planned size of the data center project in Nokia is 30 MW, and it will be built on a 5.5-hectare industrial plot. Polarnode and the City of Nokia have agreed to lease a plot of land in the Juhansuo district of City of Nokia. The project complex under preparation represents an investment of several hundred million euros.
