Arcem, a Norwegian company focusing on green energy solutions, is planning a data center in Pyhäjärvi, central Finland.
The data center would be located in the 32-hectare Olkkonen industrial area. The size and schedule of the project are currently being planned.
Arcem describes themselves as 'a specialized real estate development company formed by leading players in the property and commercial real estate sectors. Our mission is to facilitate the growth of the next generation of data centers in the Nordic region, with a strong focus on leveraging green energy solutions.'
“Finland has abundant fossil-free energy and excellent infrastructure, making it a very attractive location for data centers,” said Terje Nesbakken, Chairman of the Board of Arcem.
Henrik Kiviniemi, Mayor of Pyhäjärvi, said: “We are excited that Arcem is considering Pyhäjärvi for this significant project. If implemented, it will bring
incredible opportunities for our city and the wider region.” Sakari Nokela, Development Director at Callio in Pyhäjärvi, adds: “With its ready-made zoning and strengthened future electricity connections, the Olcconen Green Transition Industrial Park is an ideal location for companies looking for a secure and future-proof location.”
