European colocation provider Kolo DC has opened the doors of its new Copenhagen Data Center, a facility designed with AI-driven businesses and general IT-workloads in mind.
In a LinkedIn post the company said: 'As the demand for high-performance, sustainable, and sovereign infrastructure grows, we’re proud to provide a home for companies pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence in Europe. With renewable energy, secure colocation options, and a focus on scalability, Copenhagen is set to become a hub for the next generation of AI innovation. What do you think will be the biggest infrastructure challenge for AI companies in the next 5 years?'
Named DK5 on Kolo DC's website, the location at Bygmestervej 10 is the fifth Danish Kolo DC data center, after Skanderborg (DK1), Aarhus (DK2), Randers (DK3) and Viby J. (DK4). The company also has three data centers in Swden and four in The Netherlands. Kolo DC was established earlier in 2023 by CapMan Infra, a Finnish investment firm, which earlier this year acquired three facilities from Sweden’s EcoDataCenter.
